Marketplace

Soo I've never done an Indie Craft Fair or Marketplace.  However, I have always been intrigued by Renegrade Craft Fair.  They always seem really fun and full of amazing things.  Anyways, a woman from Mayday Underground arts & crafts fair contacted me via etsy and invited me to apply to be a vendor for their fair in November - and I applied!  I guess they only accept 40-50 vendors and I will find out in early September if I have been chosen.  And... I didn't stop there!  I also applied to City of Craft in Toronto, the event is the weekend of December 10 &11.  Similarly they only accept 40 or so vendors and I will find out in early September... wish me luck!  Here is a slide show of the event and items from last year.

Etsy

My Etsy Shop has been doing so well since I launched it a week ago!!  I wasn't really expecting to sell as much as I am.  I've sold a lot of scarves, so I ordered a bunch more yarn from this great company in Portland, Me - Quince & Co.  They have brilliant colors in brilliant names like Barnacle, Seaweed, Bark, Twig, Honey etc... Honey and Twig are my fav (especially color blocked together)!  I am going to make some new scarves and  I am also going to be attempting the sweater pictured below, from a Quince & Co. pattern.  Until I get all of my natural dye stuff down I will be using only Quince & Co. yarn and Americo Original yarn from Toronto.

   These are a few of my favorite shots from the  Louder Space photo shoot a few weeks back.         Paul Wilson is a genius, and took all of these photos for me, I owe him big time.  I'm so so happy with them.  They will be perfect for the advertisements I want to make.  Also I am hoping to get my website up and running and want to have a nice look book or photo gallery with these and all the rest of the photos available.

   I'm back!  I've had the best vacation so far!
