I'm Back

 

  

Well summer is over.  I have been absent here, because I have been so busy.  Over the summer I had a job interview in Lowell, MA just outside of Boston, for an Early Childhood Intervention position... and I got it!!! Yay me.  So I have been busy planning for the big move.  Peter left me early to work on a movie in the Catskills and will be joining me in Boston in November.  I however will be heading there in a week!  Eeek!!!  Packing and moving is the all time worst, and I should know as I have done it about 10 times in the past 10 years.  But the upside to that is I have become a professional packer.  So I will be back to regular postings soon enough - and I will use the blog to keep everyone up to date on my new life in Boston, and of course I will keep posting all creative endeavors.

Reunited and it feels soo good!  Me and my gal pals got together and had a fun night out this weekend.  It had been a while since we all got together so it was super fun.  We went out for drinks and saw Nik Walenda walk across Niagara Falls, and then we went out to catch up with a good friend who was in town from Austin.

Sailing

 

 

 

This past Thursday Peter and I went sailing with our old friend Giles.  It was a total spur of the moment thing.  It was magical - we had a nice bike ride out (note Giles bloody knee, he had a bit of a spill) to the boat and we had a good hour sail before the sun started setting and we had to head back in.  As usual with sailing, I was a chicken and hiding in the cabin for a bit, but only for the really scary parts.  I'm looking forward to a lot more sailing trips before the summer ends.

Owl came into town last weekend!!  We had a lovely old time, record shopping, dinner at Kunis, drinks at Vera, and on Sunday we had a bunch of friends over in the backyard.  It was a dude filled weekend, in case you couldn't tell from the pictures above.

On the way home from Binghamton Peter and I swung by my best friend Mim's place in Syracuse.  We had the bessst time ever!  We could only stay for a few hours and it was so hard to leave.  Her apartments are always so magical!  Peter and Mim played some music, we ate some delicious food on her roof, and of course Sassy stole the show - do you see how much love that cat gets!!  On the drive home we ran into the guy that makes the giant Buffaloes... he also makes cows - he was really nice and we took a few pics.

 My good friend Jess was nominated for an Artie award for costume design on The Emperor and Galilean.  Peter and I came to support.  Didn't she look lovely!! That dress....

Peter and I ate frittata in the backyard for dinner.  It's been a quiet couple of days... recuperating from Memorial weekend.  Doesn't Grayby look like a little rabbit in this picture!  Also I'm getting a much better green thumb!  I planted some poppy's, cilantro and lunaria (google it, they're beautiful!) in a bunch of pots, and all of them are sprouting!

Memorial Weekend Part 2

 

 

 

 A whole bunch of us went to Zoar Valley Saturday and then to East Otto State Park to camp, it was the most perfect weather.  The campsite was full of campers for the holiday weekend, and right when we thought we might be out of luck finding a spot we magically came upon a spacious and private area right off a dirt road.  Jason and Lara great friends from Philadelphia were with us.  We were all having such a great time, the next day we didn't want it to end.... so we went to my friend Jess's parents house in Grand Island and camped, had a fire, went swimming, ate clams.  It's going to be hard to top this weekend, but we'll have all summer to try!  Btw, how cute is Jess's dog Shipwreck!!
